Established on Feb. 19, 2001, Sino-America joint venture - Emeishan Jiamei High Pure Materials Co., Ltd. was jointly invested in by China National Environment Protection Cooperation, Emeishan Semiconductor Materials Research Institution of China as well as American Xtal Technology Inc., with the registered capital of RMB 20.8 million. Our company is located in the north of Emeishan City with fresh air and comfortable climate. We enjoy a good condition to produce high purity arsenic.
High purity materials which are used to synthesize relative compound semiconductors are the main products of our company. Our firm occupies an area of 5,300 square meters with the annual output of 20 tons. We have great potentials for market development due to our state-owned business funds, technological support from Emeishan Semiconductor Materials Research Institution and a big market share of an American company. With the efforts of all staff, we have overcome some difficulties of the technology during the past 3 years and realized the conversion from a lab to an industrialized producer.
Our high quality and capability products are sold to American, Korea, and Japan, which are welcomed by overseas customers. At present, with the development of optoelectronic technology, the superiority of compound semiconductors appears gradually and the application is also wider. GaAs compound semiconductors are used widely in the military and civil industries. This increases the demands for the basic material - arsenic, which is used to manufacture GaAs.
